Emergency Work - Hemel Hempstead
30th November 2021
Low pressure – Thursday 2nd to Friday 10th December
We’re starting some urgent works that are crucial for your local reservoir. We wanted to let you know before we start the work, as you may notice a change to your water pressure during this time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during our works and we’re sorry for any disruption this may cause you.

How does this affect you?
Your water pressure: We'll make sure we maintain our minimum level of service; however, you may experience lower pressure than normal.
Appearance of your water: Your water may look discoloured or cloudy, don't worry this is normal. We know it doesn't look nice, but it's not harmful. Just run your cold tap until it's clear. To find out more please click here
Our teams: You may see our teams working in the area and we’ll be monitoring your water closely during this time. We’ll be making adjustments wherever we can to minimise the effect on your pressure.
What we’re doing
We’ve been working to install a new section of pipe at our reservoir that supplies the Hemel Hempstead area. These works are nearly complete which means we can now start the urgent works to the inside of the reservoir, as well as to the external walls and roof.
It’s a big job, but it’s important for us to make sure the reservoir is in top condition so that we can continue to supply high quality drinking water to our customers.
When we’ll be working
Dates: Thursday 2nd to Friday 10th December 2021.
