1. The prize draw is open to registered customers of Affinity Water Limited who are aged 18 years or over, except employees of Affinity Water Limited and their households or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw; and
- a. “Pre-Subscribers” who have subscribed to SOS (“Save our Streams”) via our website https://www.affinitywater.co.uk/saveourstreams since 1 January 2020 and have received an email or communication from Affinity Water Limited inviting them to: ‘Win a National Trust gift card’, or
- b. “New Subscribers” who sign up to SOS during the Competition Period.
2. Entry to the prize draw is free and no purchase is necessary.
3. Entries are limited to one prize draw entry per household.
4. The competition period starts on 16th July 2024 at midday and closes on 30th July 2024 at midday. Entries received before or after this time will not be counted.
5. In order to be entered for the prize draw an eligible customer must have signed up to SOS and have taken the ‘My Water Footprint’ quiz and/or ordered devices.
6. Entries are automatic for both Pre-Subscribers and New Subscribers when the Affinity Water customer takes the My Water Footprint quiz and/or orders devices unless they opt-out from entry using this link.
7. Affinity Water Limited accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind or for any other reason.
8. 10 winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries by 19 August 2024. The prize draw will be supervised by an Affinity Water Limited colleague not connected to the organisation of the prize draw.
9. Each winner will receive a National Trust digital gift card to the value of £160. The digital gift card will be subject to the terms and conditions set by the National Trust and a link to these terms will be provided to the winners via email.
10. Each winner will be notified by email, sent within 10 days of the draw date to the same email address that the original invitation to participate was sent to.
11. If a winner does not respond to Affinity Water within 14 days of being notified by Affinity Water, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and Affinity Water will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
12. The prize will be sent to the winner by email within 14 days of being notified of their win.
13. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable and non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
14. The decision of Affinity Water Limited regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
15. In compliance with legal obligations, Affinity Water will make available information that indicates that a valid award took place upon request. To comply with this obligation Affinity Water will send the surname of the winners and the first part of their postcode i.e., AL10 to anyone who emails watersavings@affinitywater.co.uk or writes to: Water Savings Prize Draw, Affinity Water Limited, Tamblin Way, Hatfield, AL10 9EZ (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within 1 (one) month of the prize draw.
16. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Affinity Water Limited reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
17. Affinity Water Limited reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
18. Insofar as is permitted by law, Affinity Water Limited, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Affinity Water Limited, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
19. Personal data collected during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in Affinity Water Limited’s Privacy Notice (https://www.affinitywater.co.uk/privacy). See also condition 15 with regard to the announcement of winners.
20. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
