Affinity Water achieves the Fair Tax mark accreditation for another year

Affinity Water has again gained independent recognition that it pays the right amount of corporation tax.

The Fair Tax Foundation has applauded the Company’s high standards and for a fourth year in a row awarded it the Fair Tax Mark accreditation.

It has used its Twitter account @FairTaxMark to make the announcement:

“We’re happy to announce that @AffinityWater have achieved the #FairTaxMark once again. Providing on average 950 million litres of water each day to 3.6 million people, they’re the largest water-only supplier in the UK.”

The Fair Tax Foundation is an independent, not for profit community benefit society. The certification scheme was launched in 2014 and seeks to encourage and recognise organisations that pay the right amount of corporation tax, at the right time and in the right place.

Mike Thomas Interim Chief Financial Officer, Affinity Water, said:

“We are pleased to have met the high standards of and be awarded the Fair Tax Mark certification for a fourth year running. With many households facing a cost-of-living crisis it is important that our customers know that we pay our fair share of tax and that our shareholders are fully supportive of this work. As a company we have shown that we are willing to be totally transparent about how we are governed and how our tax affairs are arranged. All our activities are fully taxable in the UK."
