Interruption to your Water Supply - TW19 - Staines
Wednesday 4th June 2025

What we’re doing
We're really sorry for the problems with your water supply today, there was a burst main on Town Lane which may have been causing this.
To find out if your street was affected, please click here
We are pleased to say that our teams have now completed repair works, however, the team will still need to carry out essential flushing and sampling of the main. Whilst the flushing and sampling is being completed, the rezone will remain in place until we get sample results back which we expect will be by the end of the week. During this time, you will notice lower than normal water pressure. This may be worse during peak times.
Once sample results are back and confirmed passed, the rezone will then be reversed and pressures restored to normal.
Traffic management
Town Lane is closed heading north from the A30 London Road up to the traffic lights at the entrance to Tesco's and Ashford hospital. The exit of Tesco's and Ashford Hospital was previously changed to left turn only, this has now been altered slightly so that traffic can exit both left and right as you come out of Tesco's and Ashford Hospital car park. Town Lane Heading south from the A30 London Road is fully open.
We have made contact with the following schools in the area:
Thomas Knyvett College, Stanwell Road, Ashford, TW15 3DU
St James Senior Boys School, 10 Church Road, Ashford, TW15 3DZ
Routes to these schools are likely to be disrupted and journey times extended whilst the road closure is in place. This disruption may last until the end of the week as once we complete repair works, we will need to reinstate the area. We advise to please leave more time for journey's to these schools.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing and thank you for your continued patience and understanding whilst all works are being completed.
Appearance of your water
If your water is discoloured or cloudy, don’t worry this is normal. We know it doesn’t look nice, but it’s not harmful and you can help by running your cold tap until it’s clear. To find out more, please click here.
We added this message on Wednesday 4th May at 15:00 and we'll update it again as soon as we have more information
