If you are planning any plumbing work in accordance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, you must notify us in advance to ensure that the work will not impact the quality and safety of the water.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Construction of a building or structure
Proposed change of use
Installation of backflow protection
Lead replacement
Rerouting of an existing supply
Any alterations or extensions to plumbing in non-domestic premises or for animal welfare purposes

The list below shows the types of water fittings that you must tell us about. Please tick all items that apply.
You must send a plan or drawings of your proposed works site with a schematic diagram showing pipework, terminal fittings and backflow prevention devices to be installed. You can use the upload buttons below to attach the file from your computer. There is a max file size per form of 3mb, so you may need to save any photographs as low res or use file compression.

If you do not provide the correct documentation, your application may be delayed or rejected.

We will use the information you have provided to make sure that all fittings meet the regulations and that the scheme does not pose a risk to our ability to meet our supply obligations. We have 10 working days from receipt of your notification to advise you if we intend to withhold consent or agree subject to specified conditions. Work must not begin until this period has passed.
If we have to wait for drawings in the post, the 10 working days will not begin until we have all the necessary information.
