Your water should be back on

We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today. We’ve fixed the burst water main and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.

If your water is discoloured or cloudy, don’t worry this is normal. We know it doesn’t look nice, but it’s not harmful and you can help by running your cold tap until it’s clear. To find out more, please click here.

(14:35) Technicians are onsite undertaking the mains repair.

(17:00) The repair is very complicated, a plan is currently being made to restore the water.

Sunday 12th January 2025

(07:20) A team is arriving to attempt to clamp the main, if this is unsuccessful they may have to dig further to access more of the main.

(10:10) We are having to shut the main to carry on the repairs.

(12:50) The main was temporarily re opened to fit a further clamp, will need to shut again shortly.

(13:55) The main has been shut again to continue repairs.

(15:30) The repair has been completed and the technicians are currently flushing the pipework to reduce sediment in the water.
