No water and low pressure in Barnet

We’re really sorry you haven’t got any water or are experiencing low pressure. We’ve been made aware of a burst water main on Northfield Road which may be causing this.

What we’re doing

Our repair team have stayed on Northfield Road and are continuing to repair the burst water main. As soon as we know how much longer this will take, we’ll let you know.

We’re really sorry for the disruption. We’re working hard to get your water flowing again soon.

What you can do

Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:

  • Washing machine
  • Dishwasher
  • Electrical appliances that use water

If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.

What's happened so far?

(08:20) JCB has arrived on site, the mains have been shut so customers within this zone will have very low pressure until the mains has been repaired.

(07:25) The rezone is now in place and pressure readings show that all customers are back in supply now, albeit at low pressure, some customers may have no water if living in higher up flats or higher based properties.

(06:00) The repair team and fittings needed have arrived on site, we are awaiting for the JCB to arrive on site too and the valves for the rezone are currently being flushed ready for use.

(04:25) Pressure readings have been taken and it is still low in the area, we are working hard to get this resolved.

(03:20) Our technicians will attempt opening another few valves to get the water restored to the affected area.

(02:10) The burst has been located on Northfield Road, our technicians are in the process of shutting the burst in, meaning customers within this zone may experience no water or low pressure, please see an updated list of streets affected above.

(01:45) Another technician has been dispatched to assist with this.

(01:35) A repair team is being arranged and our leakage team have been made aware as we may be needing assistance in locating the the mains burst.
