What we’re doing

Our repair team have stayed on West Hill and are continuing to repair the burst water main. As soon as we know how much longer this will take, we’ll let you know.

We’re really sorry for the disruption. We’re working hard to get your water flowing again soon.

What you can do

Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:

  • Washing machine
  • Dishwasher
  • Electrical appliances that use water

If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.

We’re really sorry about this, we’re working to get your water back to normal as soon as possible.

We added this message at 05.13 and we'll update it again after 07.13

What's happened so far

(01.29) We are still working on restoring your water back to normal.

(23.29) Pressure has now increased and therefore most properties water has been restored, there maybe some properties still experiencing low pressure or no water and we will continue to work on this.

(21.25) There is now 1 booster running at Barn Hill, Our Customer service technician is going to head to the CP to confirm if pressure has been restored.

(19:25) A technician is on the way to adjust the boosters so we can restore water to the wider area, although pressure may be lower than normal. They are expected to arrive within 45 minutes to an hour. Our team is also flushing and testing the network to help bring water back to more customers in the area.

(18:55) Our repair team is on site and has begun excavating to carry out the necessary repairs. During this time, some customers may experience no water, while others may notice lower water pressure.

(18:40) Our Network Control Desk has confirmed that the recent burst has impacted the local booster stations. As a result, some customers may experience no water or lower water pressure while the boosters are offline. We’re working to restore normal service as quickly as possible.

(18:35) Technician on route to investigate.
