No water/Low water presure in Hitchin
We’re really sorry if you haven’t got any water or you have lower water pressure than normal. We’ve been made aware of a burst water main on Graveley Road which may be causing this.
What we’re doing
Our technician is now on site assesing the damage to the main, a rezone will be put in place which will restore water to customers affected with no water, customers may still notice lower water pressure than normal whislt the rezone is in place, however all customers should have water for the duration of the works once the rezone is in place.
As soon as we have more information, we will let you know.
What you can do
Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:
- Washing machine
- Dishwasher
- Electrical appliances that use water
If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.
We’re really sorry about this, we’re working to get your water back to normal as soon as possible.

(07:00) We have started to receive calls of no water to suggest an issue on the network. Our technician is on their way to site of a suspected burst main on Graveley Road.
