What's happened so far?
(13:30) The main has now been repaired and water supply should be restoring. The technician is currently onsite flushing the pipework.
(12:40) We have shut the main in order to repair the burst so customers will be without water for the time being.
(09:10) A new generator has arrived on site as this kept cutting out.
(06:50) Traffic management is being set up now.
(06:05) A pressure reading has been taken and all properties are back in supply, albeit at low pressure, this may be more noticeable during peak times.
(05:50) Our technician throttled another nearby valve and all properties outside of the shut should now have full pressure, there are 8 properties on Great North Road within the shut that will have no water.
(05:20) Our technician shut a nearby valve and that restored the water to all properties down Bell Lane.
(03:50) Our technician will throttle in the mains using the valve nearby, this should restore the supply to the nearby properties and hopefully reduce the impact.
(03:45) Our technician has located the burst on The Great North Road at the junction of Bell Lane. It looks to be on the 3" main there, however, our technician needs to locate the valves to be certain. The repair team are on route but we have no ETA as of yet from the traffic management team.
(02:45) Our loggers in your area are showing high flows and low pressure. A technician has been dispatched to investigate and locate the potential burst and a repair team is being arranged.
