No water and low pressure in Borehamwood
We’re really sorry if you haven't got any water or are experiencing low pressure. We’ve been made aware of a burst water main on Theobald Street which may be causing this.

What we’re doing
Our repair team have stayed on Theobald Street and are continuing to repair the burst water main. As soon as we know how much longer this will take, we’ll let you know.
We’re really sorry for the disruption. We’re working hard to get your water flowing again soon.
What you can do
Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:
- Washing machine
- Dishwasher
- Electrical appliances that use water
If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.

What's happened so far?
(12:25) The mains has been throttled down further so the repairs can continue.
(11:25) The pump has arrived on site to keep up with the water in the excavation.
(10:35) The drawings of where the UK Power Network cables are running have been received and the repair team has started to excavate the burst water main.
(10:30) Another pressure reading has been taken, all customers are back in supply, albeit at low pressure.
(09:45) Our technician has advised that the pressure has dropped further in the area, meaning some customers may experience no water and some low pressure depending on whether or not you are on higher grounds.
(09:05) The road closure is being set up and once this has been completed our repair team can start excavating to expose the burst water main.
(08:50) All customers are expected to be in supply, albeit at low pressure, the list of streets affected has been updated, please see above.
(08:25) The burst mains has been isolated now, to allow for the repairs to take place. The repair team and traffic management team are on route.
(06:45) A burst has been reported on Theobald Street, the technician will head there now.
(06:30) Our loggers are showing a high flow in your area, this could indicate a potential burst, a technician is on route to investigate, there is currently no customer impact at this time.
