Low pressure in Welwyn
We’re really sorry if you are experiencing low pressure. We’ve been made aware of a burst water main on Heathbrow Road which may be causing this.

What we’re doing
Our repair team have stayed on Heathbrow Road and are continuing to repair the burst water main. As soon as we know how much longer this will take, we’ll let you know.
We’re really sorry for the disruption. We’re working hard to get your water flowing again soon.
What you can do
Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:
- Washing machine
- Dishwasher
- Electrical appliances that use water
If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.

What's happened so far?
Sunday 6th July 2025
(17:35) Technician on site incase repair team needs the mains to be shut.
(15:50) Repair team advised they will try repair again without a shut of the mains but technician on route in case one is needed.
(15:25) Repairs were done but did not hold, repair team requested attendance of a technician so mains can be shut in order for the repairs to be completed.
(14:00) Our technician has throttled in the mains to contain the burst, all customers are in supply, albeit at low pressure. The repair have started to excavate the burst mains.
(12:00) Our technician has requested the assistance of our leakage team who are on route and will be on site shortly. The repair team are also on route and traffic management has been requested so that our repair team can start excavating once set up.
(11:30) Our technician has assessed the burst and an urgent repair team has been requested.
(10:50) Streets affected list has been added.
(10:40) Technician on route to investigate.
