Interruption to your water supply - Baldock - SG7

Tuesday 1st July 2025

We're really sorry if you have low pressure tonight. All customers should now have a water supply but it may be at a lower pressure during this time.

Because of the warmer weather, many of us are using much more water. This means you may notice lower pressure when demand is higher in your area.

What are we doing? Following our efforts throughout the night, customers water supplies have begun to restore, however it may still be at a lower pressure for now.

The two water tankers we have brought in to feed your area and pump water directly into your local water supplies are still continuing to do so, but may need to stop, refill and then return to site which could cause some customers whose water restored to be interrupted temporarily again.

We are also redirecting water from other areas to restore your water supply, however this may be at a lower pressure than normal.

Why has this happened? Just like at home, if you’re showering and someone else is using the tap or flushes the toilet you might notice the pressure is lower. The same thing can happen on a bigger scale. So, when lots of people in your area are using water at the same time (Eg. first thing in the morning or in the evening), this can affect the pressure coming through your taps.

When will my water return? We expect that your pressure will be back to normal outside of peak times (early morning or late evenings). However, it is possible you may see further impacts to your pressure if we see higher water use than normal in your area.

We're sorry for any disruption caused.

What's happened so far

Tuesday 1st July 2025 (00:15) Water tankers continue to support the area and we are attempting to redirect water from other areas

Monday 30th June 2025 (22:20) We have brought in two water tankers to your area to pump water directly into your local water supplies. We are also evaluating options to redirect water from other areas to restore your water supply, however this may be at a lower pressure than normal.

Monday 30th June 2025 (20:15) Due to warmer weather, customers may experience low pressure or no water during peak times as increased demand for water is needed in your local area. Water tankers are on their way to supply more water to the area to meet the demand.
