We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today. We’ve fixed the burst water main and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.

If your water is discoloured or cloudy, don’t worry this is normal. We know it doesn’t look nice, but it’s not harmful and you can help by running your cold tap until it’s clear. To find out more, please click here.

What’s happened so far

Sunday 29th June 2025

(15:40) The hole in the main has been exposed, however, there is a split either side of the hole so a specialist clamp will be needed for the repair

(14:10) We expect that 6 properties on Guildford Road will be without water. We have sent text messages to these customers that we have a mobile number for

(10:00) Our technician has done a work around on the network and as such, the majority of customers should see their water restore to normal, however, if we need to shut the main, we expect 6 properties to be affected with low pressure/no water

(09:50) Road closure is expected on site at approximately 10:30

(07:50) A road closure has been requested and fittings also requested to site

(07:10) We have had reports of a burst main on Guildford Road, our technician and a repair team are on their way to site
