What's happened so far?
Friday 1st August 2025
(06:55) The workers at the demolished Vauxhall Factory arrived on site and confirmed that they thought the supply was disconnected when they removed it last night, unfortunately this was still live which caused the issue in your area. This has now been resolved and all customers are back in full supply.
(05:20) The mains has been shut and pressure readings have been taken and they are trending as they should be and the pressure has restored to the rest of the area now.
(03:40) The leak has been located on Osbourne Road on a mains, our technician will be throttling the mains, this will have no impact on any other customers and should restore the pressure fully to everyone else.
(00:35) The rezone was successful and all customers are back in supply, albeit at low pressure, the repair team exposed the mains but there was no leak, our leakage team are looking for another point of interest.
(00:05) Our technician is looking to rezone the water, so customers who currently have no water, will have this restored, albeit at low pressure. Our repair team are still digging to expose the mains, however this is taking longer than anticipated as it is encased in cement. Our leakage technician will remain on site until the mains burst has been found.
Thursday 31st July 2025
(23:40) Our leakage team have managed to locate the mains burst on Park Street, our repair team will start excavating there now to expose this.
(20:25) Our leakage technician has arrived on site and will be correlating the mains to pin point the location of the mains burst.
(20:20) Our technician has managed to narrow down the area of where the mains burst could be located by reducing the pressure in the area on several valves, they believe the location to be on Park Street, our leakage technician is heading there now.
(20:10) A leakage technician is on route to site now.
(19:40) Our Network Control Desk have requested the assistance of our Leakage Team to locate the mains burst using their specialised equipment.
(19:00) Our Network Control Desk have determined that from the readings taken that customers on Seymour Road will have no water and other roads nearby will have low pressure, we have updated the streets affected list, please see above.
(18:50) Our technician has taken a pressure reading of the closest valve and the reading is trending as it should be, further readings are to be taken from all the valves in the area to find out what is causing the issue.
(18:05) Our technician has arrived on site but cannot see any visible leaks, a pressure reading is to be taken from the valve closest to the loggers that have indicated the drop in pressure.
(17:35) We have added a streets affected list showing who could be affected by this, please see above.
(17:20) Our loggers in your area are showing a decerease in pressure, suggesting a potential mains burst, a technician has been dispatched to investigate this.
