What we’re doing

Early on Sunday morning our network monitoring alerted us to an issue on one of our water mains in Scots Hill. Our technicians attended the site and worked as quickly as possible to safely identify, excavate and undertake the complex repair to the burst water main throughout the day and night.

A small number of customers may have experienced a temporary loss of supply or a dip in pressure but we were able to adapt our network quickly to restore supply. Due to the complexity and significance of the excavations and repairs it will take longer than expected for us to reinstate and resurface the affected road and reopen it.

We are working as quickly as possible and hope to have the road safely repaired and reopened in the coming days. We would like to thank the public for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience the burst, essential road closure and repairs have caused to our customers and road users.
