Interruption To Your Water Supply - Watford - WD17,WD24 & WD25

The samples have passed our stict water quality tests and the main is now back in service. We thank you for your patience whilst this issue was resolved.

What we are doing

We have completed the repairs to the burst main on Leggatts Rise. Before we can put the repaired water main back into service, we've taken a sample of water to ensure it meet our strict water quality standards. Whilst we await the results some customers may experience lower pressure than normal.

We will provide a further update once the main is back in service.


Your water will be back on

The main has been repaired and customers should be back on full supply.

We are still waiting on the results from our testing before we can put the main back in service.

We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.

We have completed the repairs to the burst main on Leggatts Rise. Before we can put the repaired water main back into service, we've taken a sample of water to ensure it meet our strict water quality standards. Whilst we await the results some customers may experience lower pressure than normal.

Appearance of your water

If your water is discoloured or cloudy, don’t worry this is normal. We know it doesn’t look nice, but it’s not harmful and you can help by running your cold tap until it’s clear. To find out more, please click here.

What we’re doing

Our repair team have stayed on Leggatts Rise and are continuing to repair the burst water main and are currently flushing on site. As soon as we know how much longer this will take, we’ll let you know.

What we’re doing

Our repair team has arrived on Leggatts Rise and are now digging to expose the burst pipe. We should know how long this will take us to repair once we have exposed the pipe.

We anticipate all customers to have a water supply although this could be at a lower level whilst our works continue.

What we’re doing

Our technician has assessed the burst and a repair team are on their way to help. The technician has managed to restore water to the area however some customers may still experience lower pressure than normal whilst the repair to the damaged section of water main takes place.

What you can do

Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:

  • Washing machine
  • Dishwasher
  • Electrical appliances that use water

If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.
