We have successfully repaired the burst water main and reopened A355.

Update 18:55 - Thursday 19th November 2020

Our emergency works have been completed, we anticipate all customers water supply to have restored back to normal.

With the works continuing, it’s been agreed with the local highways that the A355 Gore Hill (the A404 to the Tower Road Junction) will remain closed until Friday 27th November. This measure has been put in place to ensure the Safety of our workforce.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Update 07:25 - Thursday 19th November 2020

Our emergency works will be continuing today. As a result of this, between the hours of 09:30 - 16:30 you may experience either a loss of supply or lower water pressure than normal.

During this time we ask you not to use any electrical appliances that require a water supply, for example washing machines or dishwashers and to conserve water from storage tanks during the time your water supply is interrupted.

If you do still have a supply, we would advise you to store some water for drinking, in case your water has to be switched off for a repair to be completed.

Update 16:15 - Sunday 15th November 2020

Following urgent works in the area Affinity Water’s engineers have been working throughout the weekend to rectify the cause of the problem and to upgrade the network.
 
Despite working through the weekend, we will need to keep the A355 closed at Gore Hill until Thursday,to ensure the safety of our teams.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused and will provide further updates as the works continue.

Update 18:00 - Saturday 14th November 2020 

We have completed our emergency works and anticipate all customers water supply to be restored back to normal.

We currently have a road closure in place on the A355 on Gore Hill, HP7 to support our teams carrying out the works at one of our sites.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

A further update will be provided as soon as possible.

We are going to be carrying out emergency works on our network. As a result, between the hours of 13:00 and 15:00 you may experience either a loss of supply or lower water pressure than normal.
