Update 10:45

We can now confirm the reinstatment along Whetstone High Street has now been completed. The road has now been re-opened as of 05:00 this morning.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by this incident and would like to thank our customers for their patience during this time.

Update 17:00

Our reinstatement team will continue working through the night to complete the necessary works to the road surface, in order to ensure that the road and footway is safe for all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

We can confirm that the road will re-open tomorrow Friday 20 April at 05:00 for all road and pedestrian users.

Update 11:00

Our reinstatment team are currently on site working to reinstate the road surface with tarmac following on from a large burst water main over the weekend.

These works should be completed by the end of the working day, allowing us to re-open the road to all vehicle and pedestrian users.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by this incident and would like to thank our customers for their patience during this incident.

If you are in the above area and are travelling through Whetstone High Street, we are currently working to reinstate the road surface here following a large burst water main over the weekend. 

We would like to warn road users that there are considerable delays along the A1000 , High Road area. A diversional route is in place and we plan to have the road fully restored and open by end of day Friday.
