Water Supply Problems - 17th July 2013

With the current hot weather, Affinity Water has experienced a large increase in demand for water from its 3.5 million customers of up to 27% at peak times in some areas. This has resulted in some of our customers experiencing lower water pressures than normal at certain times during the day.

We have increased the production and storage of water to meet this extra demand, in accordance with our plans for warm weather. We are closely monitoring our network to respond to anticipated demand and changes in it by supplying customers through alternative areas of our network and improving localised pressure.
