Terms and conditions

  • Deadline for applications is 23:59 on 16 January 2026.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or over.
  • Submission of an application does not mean automatic entitlement to funding.
  • All applications will be carefully considered by the INNS Out Team.
  • Applicants may in some instances be asked to provide further information to allow a decision to be made.
  • Application decisions and payments will be made by the end of March 2026.
  • Any monetary payments will be paid by BACS transfer.
  • Applicants carry out the project and associated works at their own risk and are solely responsible for the health and safety of the project in its entirety.
  • The lead applicant (the person who submitted the application) will be required to share a risk assessment and method statement for the project activities prior to commencement.
  • The lead applicant will be required to produce a brief annual report which will state the aims, objectives and outcomes of each project and will document measurable benefits for the environment (a template will be provided by Affinity Water to ensure consistency). Failure to submit an annual report may make you ineligible for subsequent years.
  • The lead applicant is required to share the annual report with Affinity Water before the end of February 2027 or on project completion (whichever occurs first) following the delivery of the project supported.
  • It is acknowledged that projects may vary in duration, therefore applications which span multiple years will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may require reapplication to the scheme each year.
  • Projects that span multiple years will require the lead applicant to report annually to allow tracking of progress.
  • The INNS Out scheme will only support projects to control Giant Hogweed and Asian Hornets where professional specialists are used. The scheme will not support volunteer workers to control Giant Hogweed or Asian Hornets.
  • This scheme will allow applications from the same applicant for multiple relevant projects.
  • The scheme will allow multiple applications from the same applicant for ongoing work on the same project.
  • Any personal data you supply during this application including personal information which you have made publicly available will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy www.affinitywater.co.uk/privacy-notice,
  • By applying for the INNS Out scheme, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to refuse support to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  • We reserve the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend, or amend the INNS Out scheme where it becomes necessary to do so.
  • We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
