The History of Affinity Water in 12 Objects with Steve Baker

This week Affinity Water launches a new series of four audio podcasts looking at the History of Affinity Water in 12 Objects.

In the first of the four episodes Steve Baker, our “history man” tells Boni Sones why he has chosen Maps, Logos and Tankers as his first three objects.

They met up to do this special recording at one of Affinity Water’s pumping stations in Hertfordshire where there is an informal archive of the Company’s history.

Tune in again in a couple of weeks to find out what our next three objects will be.

Below shows the 1:2500 Ordnance Survey base map circa 1979. The map is of Great Amwell, just south of Hertford. And a Colne Valley logo from the 1980’s that Steve references.
