With the mercury set to soar from today people up and down the country will be firing up their BBQs and finding ways to keep cool during the hot weather.
Hot weather can significantly affect the demand for water and the amount needed to be put into supply, which also affects groundwater levels.
Local water supplier, Affinity Water has stated that whilst restrictions are unlikely this year, it is important that everyone continues to save water and has issued advice to help stay cool in the hot weather whilst saving water.
Affinity Water’s Customer Relations Director, Amanda Reynolds said: “The feedback we get from many of our customers is that they are passionate about saving water and the environment and would like more information on how to do this. We encourage all of our customers to visit our website at www.affinitywater.co.uk/save-water to find out more and to get FREE water saving devices. Saving water will help save energy and money too!”
Our Communications team handles all media enquiries on behalf of Affinity Water and its employees.
