Each year, BBC Children in Need use the contact centres of fifty organisations and businesses from around the country to boost the number of lines available for public donations. Affinity Water were one of two water companies taking part and are pleased to have been supporting Children in Need in this way for so long.
Employees from across the business answered calls from 6.30pm until 1am. During the evening quizzes and raffles were held, whilst the show was shown on TV screens around the contact centre.
Emma Robinson, Affinity Water’s Project Delivery Test Lead, who organises the company’s operation on the night, said: “We are proud to be involved with Children in Need, on what turned out to be another record breaking year for the charity. Thank you to the 103 employees who volunteered to answer the phones and take donations from the public. We answered over 900 calls and had a fantastic evening”.
