Jackie’s Drop-In Centre provides a safe, friendly and relaxed environment where vulnerable adults with disabilities can come and spend time with friends and family. The centre offers the opportunity to enhance life skills, build confidence, self-esteem and help stop social isolation. Over 250 adults use the centre, with support also provided to carers, support workers and loved ones.
Shane Willis, Manager and Trustee at Jackie’s Drop-In Centre said:
“We are very grateful to Affinity Water for their kind donation. With constant demand for our service, the new sensory room will be fantastic for members and make a real difference to the lives of the adults that use Jackie’s Drop-In Centre.”
Adam Warner, Chair of the Community Review panel said: “We are pleased to have the chance to support Jackie’s Drop-in Centre. Affinity Water is a community-focused organisation serving local people and we want to be involved in projects which benefit the communities we serve.”
