With a rising population and some of the highest water use in the country, the company is addressing the challenges of serving customers in an area the Government has designated as being under serious water stress.
The plan considers both current and future customers’ demand for water and looks at the amount of water that is available, whilst considering the effect of factors such as climate change and drought.
Mike Pocock, Director of Asset Strategy at Affinity Water said: “All our customers will be affected by our plan, so we really want to encourage them to give their views on the draft plan to influence what we do in the future.” “We are consulting with customers and stakeholders and we believe this plan is balanced and addresses the challenges we face, while providing the best value for our customers and the environment.”
The public consultation, which is open to customers and stakeholder organisations, runs from 19 March to 23 May 2018.
