Both groups are based in Shepperton and use Dawson Hall, a local venue for all their meetings and activities. 1st Shepperton Girl guides and Cygnets nursery give the opportunity for young people to learn new skills, build their confidence and make new friends in a safe environment.
With the money donated, they will be able to install two compost toilets in the grounds of Dawson Hall for all outdoor activities.
Rosemarie Saunders, Treasurer for 1st Shepperton Girl Guides said: “Having the compost toilets has made a lot of difference to all users of Dawson Hall and would not have been possible without the very generous donation from Affinity Water.”
Adam Warner, Chair of the Community Review panel said: “We are pleased to have the chance to support 1st Shepperton Girl guides and Cygnets Nursery. Affinity Water is a community-focused organisation serving local people and we want to be involved in projects which benefit the communities we serve.”
