We've been awarded the Fair Tax mark for another year
We have been awarded the Fair Tax mark for another year. Announcing this important accreditation the Society tweeted the news this week saying:
@FairTaxMark: “We’re happy to announce that @AffinityWater have achieved the #FairTaxMark once again. Providing on average 950 million litres of water each day to 3.6 million people, they’re the largest water-only supplier in the UK.”
The Fair Tax Mark is an independent, not for profit community benefit society. The certification scheme was launched in 2014 and seeks to encourage and recognise organisations that pay the right amount of corporation tax, at the right time and in the right place.
Stuart Ledger Chief Financial Officer, Affinity Water, said: “This is a significant moment in our Company’s history to meet the high standards of and be awarded the Fair Tax Mark certification for a third year running. We know how important it is to our customers and to our shareholders to pay our fair share of tax. By achieving this accreditation we have shown that we are willing to be totally transparent about how we are governed and how our tax affairs are arranged. This year as before all our activities are fully taxable in the UK."
