The Affinity Water Board, Executive Management Team and Interim CEO, Stuart Ledger have committed to build on the company’s success over the past few years and have extended their gratitude to Pauline Walsh following her departure as CEO of the company in September 2021.
Pauline joined Affinity Water as CEO in 2018 with a strong focus on transforming processes and innovation, which led to significant performance improvements for the business.
Her leadership curated a culture of innovation, collaboration with partners and communities and continuous improvement that will have a lasting effect having developed a clear roadmap for sustained high performance over the next two AMPs and the company’s strategy direction until 2050.
In September 2021, Pauline and the Affinity Water Chairman, Ian Tyler agreed that it was the right time to step down to allow a successor to build on Pauline’s improvements over the last three years as the company heads towards PR24.
Affinity Water Chairman, Ian Tyler said: “The board, Executive Management Team and all at Affinity Water would like to thank Pauline for her great spirit, dedication and leadership over the last three years and wish her the very best for the future.
“Pauline had led the business through the impact of a change of ownership, transition to AMP7, unprecedented challenges of Covid 19 and helped to drive policy changes to improve our local environment.
“As a result of Pauline’s leadership and the performance improvements at Affinity Water, we have developed a more open and trusting relationship with our communities, partners and regulators, which we will make sure to continue to build on.”
Pauline Walsh stated: “It’s been an incredible and thoroughly enjoyable journey at Affinity Water during my tenure and I would like to thank all at Affinity Water and the board for their passion, energy and commitment in helping to turn the business around.
“I would also like to thank my colleagues across the water industry and regulators, as well as our customers and communities. Through breaking down silos and working collaboratively internally, across the industry and in partnership with our customers, we have demonstrated that by working together, openly and honestly, we can make real, tangible changes for customers and to the environment.
“I look forward to providing advice and support to the business to ensure a smooth handover to the Interim CEO, Stuart Ledger and wish the business the very best in the years ahead.”
