Legionella risk assessments

Legionella bacteria are widespread in the environment and can be found in man-made water systems, such as hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.

Inhalation of contaminated water droplets can cause serious illness. It is therefore essential that all man-made water systems comply with the Health and Safety Commission L8 Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) for the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems.

We can help you to comply with the requirements of these regulations by providing a package to suit your requirements, which includes:

  • A risk assessment of assets
  • Sampling from water systems
  • Identification of control measures to mitigate risk
  • Creating an action plan to include policies/procedures and a monitoring/sampling/cleaning programme

We can also provide a Legionella awareness training course and can train your nominated personnel to collect samples as an ongoing programme for Legionella control.
