Our Installation Requirements

Before you request a connection here is a helpful guide to understand what we need to process your request

 

Properties with a single connection

For a properties with a single connection, you need to show us you have example photos and/ or WIAPS certificate. See below for examples of the photos we require.

  1. Laid your pipe at a depth of 750 – 850mm. You will need to show us the finished ground level with respect to the depth of the pipe. example photo

  2. You have capped the end of the pipe at the boundary to prevent contamination. The cap should be visible in the boundary photo but you can take a close up photo if you like.example photo

  3. You have installed a stop tap internally. example photo

 

Properties with multiple connections

 

For a properties with a multiple connections, you need to show us you have example photos and/ or WIAPS certificate. See below for examples of the photos we require.

 

  1. Laid your pipes at a depth of 750 – 850mm. You need to show the finished ground level with respect to the depth of the pipes. example photo

  2. Your pipes are the correct material (standard or barrier). example photo

  3. You have taken your pipes to the edge of the highways boundary (this includes crossing any third party land between your property boundary and the highway boundary).  example photo

  4. You have capped the end of the pipes at the boundary to prevent contamination. The cap should be visible in the boundary photo but you can take a close up photo if you like.example photo

  5. You have installed stop taps internally. This might be in one location or in individual properties. example photo

 

Properties with a Bulk supply and internal meters

For a properties with bulk supply and internal meters, you need to show us you have example photos and/ or WIAPS certificate. See below for examples of the photos we require.

  1. Laid your pipe at a depth of 750 – 850mm. You need to show the finished ground level with respect to the depth of the pipe. example photo

  2. Your pipe is the correct material (standard or barrier) example photo

  3. You have taken your pipe to the edge of the highways boundary (this includes crossing any third party land between your property boundary and the highway boundary) example photo and/or WIAPS Certificate

  4. You have capped the end of the pipe at the boundary to prevent contamination. The cap should be visible in the boundary photo but you can take a close up photo if you like. example photo

  5. You have installed an internal manifold arrangement as per our design specification and the meter housings have been installed.
