Water Pressure Improvement Scheme
We are investing £0.25 million to improve the water pressure of the water network in the Hillingdon Area. These works are absolutely essential to make sure we continue to provide a reliable supply of water to you.
Some areas of the Hillingdon water supply network including Harvey Road, The Dingle, Southfield Close, and Marlborough Road are located on relatively higher ground.
At periods of peak summer demand they can suffer from poor water pressure.
What we are doing?
We plan to start the work on 13th August 2016. It is anticipated that the work will take approximately 7 weeks to complete. Your water supply should not be affected whilst we carry out our works.
Work will be carried out mostly between the hours of 8am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 1pm Saturday with the occasional Sunday on an agreed basis with London Borough of Hillingdon.
We will always try to maintain access to driveways while we work. However, there may be times when our work will affect vehicle access to certain properties may be required. We will tell customers if they will be affected before this happens.
Where are we working?
Uxbridge Road - will have a lane closure from 13th August until 21st August.
New Broadway - will have a lane closure in front of the junction with Parkfield Avenue from 13th August until 30th September. Access will be maintained throughout the period.
Parkfield Avenue - will have no vehicular access between the junction of New Broadway and side of Electrical Centre from 13th August until 30th September. A signed diversion route will be in place.
There will be restrictions to parking as the works progress.
The timings and dates above are approximate and may be subject to change due to factors that may affect working conditions.
