Metering Programme
As part of our Metering Programme, we'll be fitting around 280,000 household meters. We’ll give customers the choice to keep paying unmetered charges for up to two years if the meter was fitted before the 1 April 2024, and up to one year if their meter was fitted after the 1 April 2024. Apply for a water meter
If you don't already have one, you can apply for a water meter at any time. Almost 70% of our customers save money when on a water meter. On top of this your meter will:
- help you save water
- make sure you only pay for the water you use, making it fairer for everyone
- make it easier for us to stop leaks, reducing water waste
- help our local environment, by leaving more water in our rivers and streams
