Interruption to your water supply- Meesden - SG9

We have been able to confirm that the cause for loss of supply is due to much higher demand for water at present due to the exceptionally hot weather. Our technican has been able to slighlty open a valve to supply our customers with water, albeit at low pressure. This valve cannot be left open at all times as this may cause high pressure at usual times.

We expect your water supply to be restored to normal pressure later this evening. Although, throughout the warmer weather, you may continue to experience some water supply issues for the next few days.

We are asking all customers to try and keep their water usage to a minimum during this time to reduce the demand on our network.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Currently, we have not identified any burst water mains or any faults on our assets, there were some nearby works that we thought might be causing the water supply issues, these works are now compeleted. This has decreased the amount of customers experiencing water supply interruptions.

During this time we ask you not to use any electrical appliances that require a water supply, for example washing machines or dishwashers and to conserve water from storage tanks during the time your water supply is interrupted.

If you do still have a supply, we would advise you to store some water for drinking, in case your water has to be switched off for a repair to be completed.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and aim to restore your supply to normal as soon as possible.
