What's happened so far

Sunday 20th July 2025

(05:40) The main has been repaired and is now being refilled with water. The technician is currently flushing the pipe and taking water samples to ensure quality. Once complete, the main will be safely secured and ready for use.

(04:22) Repair team remaining on site fitting up what they can whilst the technician is heading back to get some additional fittings. 

(03:25) The repair is still ongoing.

(00:25) The repair team has encountered a Y-branch in the main pipe. As a result, additional excavation and fittings are required. The estimated time of completion is currently unknown. We will provide further updates as the situation progresses.

Saturday 19th July 2025

(23:45) A burst has been located, and more excavation will be necessary on the carriageway to carry out the repair. 

(22:25) The repair team is on site and has begun excavating in the carriageway. Due to the presence of other utilities in the area, they are proceeding with caution during the digging process.

(20:00) Awaiting for repair team and traffic management to get on site.

(18:55) Technician has shut a valve to carry out the repair. 

(15:20) Technician on route to investigate leak which has gotten worse throughout the day.
