What's happened so far?
Wednesday 9th July 2025
(14:40) All affected customers will see your water has returned back to it's normal pressure.
(05:25) First flush has been completed and sample taken, the mains remains boxed in until the second flush is completed from the other side and a sample taken form there. ETA 13:00.
Tuesday 8th July 2025
(23:55) Our technician has recharged the mains and started to flush, this has caused an increase in pressure, to avoid the mains bursting again, some valves have been reduced down. This will be monitored whilst the flushing continues, all customers are in supply, albeit at low pressure until the flushing has been completed.
(22:05) Our technician has advised that the hydrant has been fitted and that the mains are ready to be recharged, they will need to rezone some of the water, so the mains do not burst again, once it has been rezones the recharging of the repaired mains can commence.
(20:30) The repairs are ongoing.
(17:10) One of the parts did not fit, a new part is being delivered to site now.
(15:15) The second valve has been installed, the new pipe is now being lowered into the ground ready to be connected.
(14:35) The first valve has been installed successfully, a second one is being installed now.
(14:25) The team have started the cut out repair on the burst water main.
(10:05) All cusotmer are now back in supply, albeit some may still experience low pressure, please see the streets affected above.
(09:05) Another rezone has been put into place, customers within this zone should see their water restoring.
(08:55) The streets affected list has been updated, customers on this list may experience no water and/or low pressure.
(08:40) Our technician has confirmed that a full length cut out is required, all fittings are on site.
(08:10) Our technician has rezoned the water, all customers should be back in supply, albeit at low pressure.

(06:40) The mains has now been shut in due to the flooding caused, our repair team are now excavating to expose the mains burst and repair it.
(06:20) Emergency team has been dispatched due to one property being flooded on Bishops Field.
(05:15) Four valves have been located that need to be used to rezone the water and shut in the burst mains. Our technician is contacting our Water Quality team to make sure they are safe to be used.
(04:30) The burst has been assessed and is located on a 18" main.
(03:35) The burst is believed to be on a 12" mains and it is flooding the road, the police enforced road closure will stay in place until the traffic management team arrive and take over.
(03:25) Another technician has been dispatched to help assess the burst.
(03:20) The police have called in to report a mains burst on Southern Way, they have closed 5 junctions due to safety concerns, the junctions closed are Latton Bush Centre, Parnell Road, Parringdon Road, Partridge Road and Tye Green Village. A technician is on route to assess the burst, a repair team and traffic management have been requested.
