Potential low pressures in Hitchin (SG4 Area) 

We’re really sorry you potentially may have lower water pressure than usual . We’ve been made aware of a on going fire on Wallace way in Hitchin where the fire service are working which could be placing additional strain on our network which may be causing this.

What we’re doing

The fire service are still on wallace way working to get the issue under control. As soon as this issue is resolved  pressures to the area should stabalise.

What you can do

Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:

• Washing machine
• Dishwasher
• Electrical appliances that use water

If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water pressure lessens further
